Vitals is a wellbeing-focused mobile app created to support medical students and junior doctors navigating the intense pressures of training and early clinical practice. The founder approached the project with a clear mission: to reduce burnout, social isolation and disconnection by helping users build simple, low-pressure peer connections through real-world interactions like coffee catch-ups, discussion threads and shared experiences.

The project began with a comprehensive brand strategy to define the platform’s positioning, values and overall brand experience. Vitals needed to feel calm, trustworthy and human, avoiding both the clinical coldness often associated with medical platforms and the noise of traditional social media. The strategy work focused on shaping a brand that felt supportive, safe and intentionally simple — a digital environment designed for connection rather than performance.

From there, a complete visual identity system was developed, including logo design, typography, colour palette and detailed brand guidelines to ensure consistency across the product and its marketing. The visual language balances professionalism with warmth, creating a brand that feels credible within the medical community while remaining approachable and emotionally intelligent.

The result is a thoughtful, purpose-driven brand identity that supports the Vitals mission of building meaningful peer connection within medicine. Designed to translate seamlessly across app interfaces, social media and marketing touchpoints, the brand provides a clear and scalable foundation as the platform grows.
